Penny Stocks – are they worth the investment research and possible?
I'm seeing more online about penny stocks and fairly some answers / advice from others to avoid them. What is the biggest risk-vs-them higher prices, more established stocks?
Penny stocks can be excellent yields (in the triple digits) in a very short period of time. However, these actions can also drop a lot more faster and farther. I made great gains from penny stocks, but only when I did not put all your eggs in one basket. What I do is invest in proportions equal in several penny stocks that I like. This way if I lost nearly 100% in a population that is more than offset by the increase of several hundred percent in other populations. Penny stocks are less liquid which means that even if you have a large paper gains that may have a difficult time realizing that increase. This is an end at some point could take a while to run and run ultimatly worse than those obtained in a more liquid. As a rule, IPO stocks not as penny stocks, in other words, the stock has fallen from its offer. If you look at penny stocks as a value investor and analysis as you would analyze the actions of value that is normally heavily on selling stocks. These are gold mines, but sometimes there's a reason why one action has become a penny stock and would be burned in them. (Hence the importance of research and diversification) The biggest risk I have been investing in stocks is that their currency valuation is often highly dependent on the flow of news. Sometimes there are negotiations of the Union, approval FDA, launch new products that can make or break a company. Unless there is material non-public information (insider trading) can be very difficult to know whether this particular population is going to shoot up to 3 digits morning or if the company is about to disappear.
